Daniel Whitmore
Hello world, I’m Daniel Whitmore, a full-stack web developer with over 8 years of experience in building scalable and user-centric platforms. My journey began with simple coding experiments in my college dorm room, but over time, I realized the internet lacked spaces where real voices could be heard without bias or manipulation. That’s why I’ve dedicated my career to creating tools and communities where people can leave genuine feedback — whether it’s about services, businesses, or personal experiences. For me, giving users the power to share their stories openly isn’t just a technical challenge — it’s a personal mission to bring more honesty to the digital world.
Why I Started Building Review Platforms
My interest in building unbiased review platforms started in 2017. At the time, I was working on a freelance project for a small local service aggregator. My task was simple — create a backend system for collecting and displaying customer reviews. But as I started digging into how these reviews were being moderated and filtered, I discovered that most of them were either censored or manipulated by admins to favor specific businesses. That led me to conduct a six-month independent analysis of over 200 review-based websites, including well-known aggregators and niche forums. I studied their moderation policies, read user complaints, and tracked deleted or edited posts via third-party archives. The result was clear: over 60% of platforms actively removed or edited reviews that conflicted with business interests, even when those reviews were legitimate and respectfully worded. This finding changed the direction of my career.
